What is off-page SEO?

Off-page SEO refers to all activities outside your own Web site that contribute to your ranking in search results. This primarily involves building your online reputation and authority, which helps search engines determine how trustworthy and valuable your Web site is. The most important factor within off-page SEO is getting backlinks-links from other Web sites to your site. The more quality and relevant websites link to your pages, the more likely search engines are to consider your website authoritative and relevant.

Backlinks are like recommendations from other websites. When a respected website links to your content, Google sees this as a sign that your website is trustworthy and worthwhile. However, not all links are equal; links from reputable, relevant websites are much more valuable than links from unfamiliar or irrelevant sites. In addition to backlinks, other factors play a role in off-page SEO, such as social media activity, online mentions, and reviews. All of these elements help make your website more visible and credible in the eyes of search engines.

Off-page SEO works closely with on-page SEO to help your website rank well in search results.
